A short guide for Bulk Product Upload to your Google My Business
Bulk uploading your products or services in your Google My Business will enhance the visibility of your locations for the right local search queries. We can help you.

Thinking about Bulk Upload Products to your GMB listings?
Any local business can benefit from adding products or services to their GBP as it showcases that location’s offerings, driving footfall and potentially increasing sales. GBP products can act as a virtual window-shopping experience that allows customers to see what products or services are situated in-store. It also helps Google to know what local search queries to rank you for. We have seen Discovery Search increase by 100% when local inventory feeds got connected.
What can be added as a GBP product?
You can list the following as products on GBP:
- Product and product categories
- Local inventory feed – live coverage of what is in stock
- Services and service categories
There is an argument to be made for listing your services as products because they become more visible and have linked calls to action. As Google has no issue with locations having both products and services listed, why not do both? Lots of businesses do not have the IT infrastructure required to produce and update an accurate local inventory feed.
How to Bulk Upload Products on Google My Business
Currently, GMB does not allow you to bulk upload products to multiple locations. There are three solutions to this problem:
- Local product inventory feeds
- Manually uploading products to individual Google My Business locations
- Use us to upload for you
What is a Local Product Inventory Feed?
Local Product Inventory Feeds are a list of products in stock in each store. If you are looking for a way to bridge the research online purchase offline gap, setting up a local Inventory feed is what you are looking for. As stock and price can frequently change on a store-by-store basis, it is important to regularly update your inventory feed to remain current.
Read Google’s manual on loading and updating Local Product Inventory Feeds to do this correctly.
How to manually upload products to GMB?

To upload products to GMB you need to sign into your dashboard and select the listing you want to upload products to.
You will see a menu bar with “products”. Selecting this will begin the process of uploading products to that Google My Business location.
Please note that the last product you add will be the one that shows up first on the listing. Save your best for last!
Once you have selected the Products option, a window will appear for you to fill in all the product information.
Don’t forget to add an image that showcases exactly what the product is, and make sure the link you provide leads directly to that product page on your website.
If you have made a mistake, don’t worry! You can delete the uploaded product and then re-add it as the newest item, or you can edit the product. This will also trigger an update to the order of the products.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE :
If you are marketing a restaurant, Google prefers you to use popular dishes and menu functions rather than listing them as products.
